Day by day

The itinerary

10 days, with space for the unexpected.

Day 1Arrival GUWAHATI - TEZPUR (210 kms/6 hrs)

Arrive Guwahati, the gateway to Northeast India. Meet and assist at the airport. Transfer to Eco Camp, near the Assam Arunachal Pradesh border. Afternoon if time permits, walk on the banks of river Bhorelli. Come back to the camp at dusk. Dinner and overnight at Tezpur.

Day 2TEZPUR – ZIRO (320 kms/8 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Ziro. En route, we will stop at a village inhabited by NYISHI tribes. Check into hotel on arrival. Evening visit to market. Return to Hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at Ziro.

Day 3ZIRO

After breakfast visiting the APATANI villages. Ziro is one of the most traditional areas in Arunachal Pradesh. Dinner and overnight stay at Ziro. Ziro is home to the Apatani tribes and it is located in an extremely picturesque valley called Apatani Plateau surrounded by pine-covered mountains. The Apatani tribes themselves are Ziro's greatest attraction. The older men-folk tie the hair in top-knots and tattoo the faces. Apatani women wear wooden nose plugs and tattooed their faces.

Day 4ZIRO – DAPORIJO (160 kms/5 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Daporijo (160 kms/5 hrs). En route we will visit HILL MIRI (now a days they are also called Nyishi) and Tagin Village. These are the main tribes of this area. On arrival check into guesthouse. Dinner and overnight at Daporijo.

Day 5DAPORIJO – ALONG (140 kms/4 hrs)

After breakfast drive to Along. The main tribe of this area is ADI GALLONG. We will visit their villages on the way. On reaching Along we will visit local market and museum. Check into hotel Agaam. Dinner and overnight stay at Along.

Day 6ALONG

After breakfast trek to Adi Galong Tribal village of Paya from Kabu village. Overnight stay at Along.

Day 7ALONG – PASIGHAT (160 kms/5 hrs)

We are going to Pasighat today. Visit more villages on the way. On arrival we check into Hotel Oman/Anne. Evening sightseeing of Pasighat town. Dinner and overnight stay at Passighat.

Day 8PASIGHAT

After breakfast visit to Mebow village (20 kms) of the Adi Padam tribes. Overnight stay at Pasighat.

Day 9PASIGHAT – DIBRUGARH (30 kms/45 mins by Road plus 5 hrs in ferry)

After breakfast drive to Dibrugarh. Along the way we will cross the might Brahmaputra river by ferry. On arrival check into hotel. If time permits visit the local market. Dinner and overnight stay at Dibrugarh.

Day 10DIBRUGARH Departure.

In time transfer to the airport for connect flight to further destination.
