The itinerary

11 days, with space for the unexpected.

Day 1Arrival BHUBANESWAR

Arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway station. Transfer to Hotel. Half day sightseeing of Bhubaneswar including Lingaraja, Parsurameswar, Mukeswar, Rajarani Temple.Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.

Day 2BHUBANESWAR-MANIABAND-NUAPATNA –DHENKANAL.

After breakfast, drive to Nuapatana & Mania Bandah (110 kms/ 3 hrs), the largest weaver village (Silk/Pata Saree) & the only Buddhist village in Odisha. Experience the Handloom work of Pata/Silk sarees. After lunch drive to Sadeibareni for Dokra work, the typical tribal handicrafts of Odisha. Overnight stay at Dhenkanal.

Day 3DHENKANAL-SAMBALPUR

After breakfast drive to Sambalpur, en route visit through rock painting at Redhakhol. Evening visit to Samaleswari temple. Overnight stay at Sambalpur

Day 4SAMBALPUR-BARPALI

After breakfast drive to Barpali weekly market( Commence only on Friday),visit to different weaver village like Barpali-the largest weaver village in western Odisha. Evening visit to different handloom shop. Overnight stay at Sambalpur.

Day 5SAMBALPUR-SONEPUR-BALANGIR

After breakfast drive to Sonepur, en route visit through Huma-the leaning temple. See the most popular Sambalpuri silk weaver villages at Sonepur.Drive to Balangir and overnight.

Day 6BALANGIR-BALIGUDA

After breakfast proceed to Baliguda, en route covering some weaver village. Visit some Kutia Kondh tribal village. Overnight stay at Baliguda.

Day 7BALIGUDA-TAPTAPANI-GOPALPUR

After breakfast visit Taptapani-the hot sulphuric hot spring water, Padmanavpur popular for matha handloom work. Then drive to Gopalpur on sea. Overnight stay at Gopalpur on sea.

Day 8GOPALPUR-BERHAMPUR-BARKUL

Early morning sunrise at Gopalpur-on-sea. After breakfast proceed to Berhampur and see the handloom work & showroom at Silk City Berhampur. Then proceed to Barkul. Afternoon enjoy the boat ride in chilika lake. Overnight stay at Barkul.

Day 9BARKUL-BHUBANESWAR

Early Morning boating in side chilka lake, explore the Nalabana Island, Kalijai Island. After lunch drive to Bhubaneswar en route visit through Onlasuni & Routpada weaver village. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.

Day 10BHUBANESWAR

After breakfast full day sightseeing of Bhubaneswar including Khandagiri & Udayagiri Caves,Tribal Museum, State Museum ( Monday Closed),64 Yogini Temple. Evening free for independent activities.

Day 11BHUBANESWAR Departure

In time transfer to Airport for onward journey.
