The route
Bhubaneswar-Konark-Chilika (Satapada)-Puri
Day by day
4 days, with space for the unexpected.
Arrival at Bhubaneswar. Check-in to the hotel. afternoon orientation tour of Bhubaneswar including temples of Lingaraj, Mukteswar, Rajarani etc. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.
After breakfast drive to Puri. En-route visit through Dhauli-the Buddhist circuit, Pipili-the appliqué village, Sun temple at Konark-the world UNESCO heritage monument, Chandrabhaga beach, Ramchandi-a picnic spot & temple. Arrival at Puri. Spent the evening at golden beach Puri. Overnight at Puri.
Early in morning drive to Satapada (One end of Chilika Lagoon). Cruise in the largest brackish water lagoon in Asia and explore Sea mouth, Rajhans Island, rare Irrawaddy dolphins, local birds etc. Back to Puri. Late afternoon proceed to Bhubaneswar, en-route visit through Raghurajpur artisan village. Overnight at Bhubaneswar.
First half sightseeing of Bhubaneswar including Khandagiri & Udayagiri caves, Tribal museum. If time permits visit to Nandankanan zoological park (popular for white tiger). Transfer to railway station/airport for onward journey.
