Bhubaneswar-Bhitarkanika N.P-Konark-Puri-Chilika lake-Gopalpur-Taptapani
Day by day
11 days, with space for the unexpected.
Arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway station. You will be greeted by our office representative who will assist you to board your vehicle. Transfer to Hotel. Orientation tour of Bhubaneswar. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.
After breakfast, drive to Ratnagiri & Udayagiri group of monuments(120 kms/3 hrs). See the art & architect of the ruined Buddhist monuments, Museum-a large collection of excavation (closed on Friday). Then visit to Lalitgiri group of monuments & the stone work. After lunch at way side Dhaba proceed to Gupti. Evening enjoy the nature trek and feel the continues cool air. Overnight stay at Gupti.
After breakfast cruise in different creeks like Gadhirapal, Suajore etc to spot Crocodiles, then visti to Bagagahana ( Bird Sanctuary) where during winter you can see many migratory birds, Sikarakathi ( hunting tower of ancient king), Shiv temple. Have your lunch at Dangamal forest restaurant and see crocodile breeding centre, Museum, deer, Water lizard etc. Overnight stay at Gupti.
After breakfast proceed to Puri (270 kms/5 hrs). En route visit through Dhauli Buddhist pagoda, Pipili (appliqué work), Konark Sun temple (World heritage monument), Chandrabhaga beach. Overnight stay at Puri.
Early morning sunrise at Golden beach Puri. Morning enjoy at the beach/Rickshaw ride at the Grand Trunk Road (Bada danda). Second half visit to Jagannath temple to darshan of Universal God Lord Jagannath (non hindus are not allowed)/ Non hindu can see from the roof top of Raghunandan library. Have the Anna Prasad (abhada) at the world largest open restaurant, Puri Jagannath temple. Evening free for independent activities. Overnight stay at Puri.
Early morning proceed to Satapada (55 kms/1.5 hrs) and cruise in the Chilika lake. See the Sea mouth, Observe the composite dancing of rare Irrawaddy dolphins. Have your packet breakfast during your cruise. After lunch proceed to Barkul by boat (60 kms approx.), sightseeing of Asia’s largest brackish water lake from Satapada side to Barkul and spot the places like Rajhans Island, Nalaband birrd Sancturary (popular for migratory birds). Overnight stay at Barkul.
After breakfast proceed to Gopalpur-on-sea (76 kms/2 hrs). En route visit through Narayani hill temple. Second half enjoy at the Gopalpur beach. Overnight stay at Gopalpur-on-sea.
Early morning sunrise at Gopalpur beach. Forenoon proceed to Taptapani (75 kms/2.5 hrs). Arrival at Taptapani and check-in to the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of deer park, hill nature view and hot sulphur spring. Overnight stay at Taptapani.
After breakfast proceed to Bhubaneswar (220 kms/5.5 hrs). En route visit to the another hot spring at Otri. Evening free for independent activities. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.
After breakfast full day city tour including temples like Lingaraj, Rajarani, Mukteswar, Khandagiri & Udayagiri rock cut caves, Tribal museum & Nandankanan Zoological park. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.
In time transfer to Airport/Railway station for onward journey.
