The itinerary

11 days, with space for the unexpected.

Day 1Arrival BHUBANESWAR

Arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport/Railway station. You will be greeted by our office representative who will assist you to board your vehicle. Transfer to Hotel. Orientation tour of Bhubaneswar. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.

Day 2BHUBANESWAR-NUAPATANA-DHENKANAL ( 110 kms-40 kms) / 3 hrs-1hrs)

After breakfast, proceed to Nuapatana, Mania Bandah (110 kms/ 3 hrs), the largest weaver village (Silk/Pata Saree) & the only Buddhist village in Odisha. See the Handloom work of Pata/Silk sarees. Then proceed to Sadeibareni for Dokra work, the typical tribal handicrafts of Odisha. Overnight stay at Dhenkanal.

Day 3DHENKANAL-RATNAGIRI-LALITGIRI-CHANDIPUR

After breakfast, drive to Ratnagiri & Udayagiri group of monuments. See the art & architect of the ruined Buddhist monuments, Museum. Then visit to Lalitgiri group of monuments and the stone work of Lalitgiri. After lunch at way side Dhaba proceed to Chandipur-on-sea. Enjoy the evening at the rare beach resort Chandipur. Overnight stay at Chandipur-on-sea.

Day 4CHANDIPUR-CUTTACK-BHUBANESWAR (216 kms)

After breakfast, drive to Cuttack (186 kms/4 hrs). EN ROUTE visit to Gopalpur for handloom & Teracotta work. Arrival at Cuttack and visit to filigree work centre & shops. Evening free for Indipendent activity. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.

Day 5BHUBANESWAR-KONARK-PURI (100 kms)

After breakfast, drive to Puri (100 kms/2.5 hrs). En-route visit to Dhauli peace pagoda, stone work centre, Sun temple at Konark, ASI Museum, Chandrabhaga beach, Stone work centre at Ramchandi. Afternoon darshan of Universal God Lord Jagannath (Non-Hindus are not allowed). Evening free for independent activities. Overnight stay at Puri.

Day 6PURI- SATAPADA (CHILIKA LAKE) ( 50 kms)

Early morning drive to Satapada ( Dolphin end of Chilika Lake) (50 kms/1.5 hrs). Cruise inside the lake to sight rare Irrawaddy dolphins, mouth point of Chilika lake, red crabs centre. Have your packet breakfast inside the boat. Back to Puri and have your Lunch. After luch visit to Raghurajpur (Unesco heritage village). Each family of this village engaged in handicraft works, visit to other handicraft villages, Handicraft shops. Evening enjoy in the golden beach/ independent activities. Overnight stay at Puri.

Day 7PURI-BARKUL ( CHILIKA LAKE)-GOPALPUR (195 kms)

After breakfast drive to Barkul ( other side of Chilika lake) (140 kms/3 hrs). Boating inside the Chilika lake and see the Nalabana bird sanctuary (popular for migratory birds), Kalijai temple in Kalijai island. Lunch at Barkul. After lunch proceed to Gopalpur-on-sea ( 76 kms/2.5 hrs). Evening enjoy in the Gopalpur beach. Overnight stay at Gopalpur.

Day 8GOPALPUR-TAPTAPANI ( 75 kms)

Early morning Sunrise at Gopalpur beach. After breakfast drive to Taptapani (75 kms/2.5 hrs). En route see the handloom work & show room of silk saris at Silk city Berhampur, visit to the Matha handloom work at Padmanavpur. Arrival at Taptapani and check-in to the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing of deer park, hill nature view and hot SULPHUR spring. Overnight stay at Taptapani.

Day 9TAPTAPANI-BHUBANESWAR ( 220 kms)

After breakfast proceed to Bhubaneswar (220 kms/5.5 hrs). En route visit to the another weaving village Olansuni. Then drive to Routpada ( The second largest weavers village in Odisha). See the PATA handloom work. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.

Day 10BHUBANESWAR

After breakfast full day city tour including temples like Lingaraj, Rajarani, Mukteswar, Khandagiri & Udayagiri rock cut caves, Tribal museum & Nandankanan Zoological park. Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.

Day 11Departure BHUBANESWAR

In time transfer to Airport/Railway station for onward journey.
